Fayetteville City Schools Employee Resigns; Accused of Inappropriate Relationship with Student

A Fayetteville City Schools employee has resigned following allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student.

On Saturday, Fayetteville City Schools officials released a statement confirming that an investigation is underway and emphasized the importance of the legal process. “Fayetteville City Schools has learned that a staff member has been accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student,” the statement read. “Law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation, and the staff member has resigned. All questions regarding the investigation should be directed to the Fayetteville Police Department.”

At this time, law enforcement has not disclosed the name of the employee involved in the allegations.
