The Huntland Lady Hornets faced a tough matchup on Monday, falling to the Tullahoma Lady Wildcats 18-1.

Huntland got on the board in the bottom of the first inning, but Tullahoma responded quickly, taking advantage of an error and a single by Addyson Norman to gain an early lead.

The Wildcats extended their advantage with six runs in the second inning, highlighted by a grand slam from Madison Goad and a two-run double by Kayleigh Campbell.

An error in the third inning allowed Tullahoma to push the score to 10-1, and they continued their offensive surge in the fourth, adding eight more runs on five hits, including a three-run double by Kaitlynn Gattis and a two-run homer by Avanley Metcalf.

Kinah Mason took the loss for Huntland, pitching two innings and allowing nine runs (four earned) on eight hits while striking out four and walking one.
