Charles Glenn McCarver

Charles Glenn McCarver, age 83 of Sewanee, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jackson County, Alabama on April 28, 1941, to the late J.W. and Zona (Garner) McCarver. Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He had retired from Armstrong Carpet Mill after many years of service. He was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying watching and cheering for the University of Tennessee Volunteers. His family and friends will remember his wonderful sense of humor and contagious laughter. Charles is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Mary Lou (McBee) McCarver; children, Terry (Terri) McBee, Glenn McCarver, Cory McCarver, and Sonya McCarver; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Roy McCarver; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Mt. View Cemetery with military honors bestowed.
