Don't Fall for Fake Athletic Scam

Heads up for high school athletes and parents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

A scam involving an individual posing as part of MTSU's football program is making its way around the state. The subject asks for a game film and makes a fake offer from the university. He then demands a fee to hold a spot at an allegedly required camp.

These offers are fraudulent. And they may not be the only ones out there, so stay alert! Don’t click links in email attachments, texts, or DMs. And never send money to someone who DMs you.
