Kenneth Wayne Pelham, age 74 of Decherd, passed from this life on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his residence. He was born on February 5, 1951, in Sewanee, Tennessee to the late George William Pelham and Rosa Josephine Bailey. He grew up in Sherwood and was a 1969 graduate of Franklin County High School. After graduation, Kenneth worked for the railroad, where he worked for twenty-eight years. Kenneth loved fishing and watching NASCAR racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary William Pelham. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Alan) Hill and Angela (Bobby) McConnell, both of Decherd; brother, Donnie Pelham of Decherd; sisters, Wanda Carter of Winchester, and Linda (Mike) Walker of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Jessie) Ferrell of Decherd, Peyton Hill of Decherd, Kevin (Mary) Stewart of Winchester, and Haley (Ryan) Limbaugh of Decherd; great-grandchildren, Bentley Ferrell, Keagan Stewart, Ryder Stewart, Ryley Limbaugh, and Ella Limbaugh; four nieces; two nephews; six great- nieces; and seven great-nephews. Visitation will be from 11am-12pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A private graveside will be held at Mt. View Cemetery.
